What we collect
This website has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising trackers and no social media embeds. We receive personal data only if you contact us (name, email address, phone number and your message) or call or WhatsApp us. The email contact form does not send data to our servers: it opens your own email app with your message ready to send. The WhatsApp help form works the same way: it opens WhatsApp with a ready message, and nothing is sent to our servers.
When you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes the conversation under its own privacy policy. The app download opens a Google Drive folder. Google runs Drive and has its own privacy policy. Payment and account details for the Danlite OBD are handled in the app and by our billing system; see the Danlite OBD Privacy Policy.
The Danlite OBD
The app uses Bluetooth and location permission (Android requires location to find Bluetooth adapters), and an internet connection for your account and payment. It uses Sentry to receive crash reports so we can fix faults. Crash reports may include technical details such as the app version, Android version and device model.
Optional services you switch on
If you pick a language other than English, your browser loads Google Translate from Google. This sends the text of the page and your IP address to Google, and Google Translate stores a small language cookie. Nothing is sent to Google unless you choose a language. Your theme and language choices are saved only in your own browser. See the Cookie Policy for the exact items.
Why we use your data, and the legal basis
We use contact details only to reply to your support, payment or refund request. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the contact form or by contacting us. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it, and who sees it
We keep support messages for up to 24 months, or longer if the law requires (for example tax or payment records). We share data only with service providers needed to give you support or process payment, and with authorities when the law requires. Some of these providers (for example Google, WhatsApp and Sentry) may process data on servers outside India.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure. Never send us card numbers, UPI PINs, OTPs or passwords.
Your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
You may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw your consent at any time, and nominate someone to exercise these rights if you cannot. Write to support@danlite.in. To delete your app account, see Delete your account. If we do not resolve your complaint, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children
This website is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children’s data without a parent’s or guardian’s consent.

Links to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Google and Google Play open those companies’ sites, which have their own privacy policies.
